Structural Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to fill a permanent opening. This position leads design projects for residential and commercial projects in order to ensure safe, efficient designs are delivered on time for our clients.

Qualifications:-

  • 4 -8 years’ experience related to structural/residential engineering work
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain within 6 months preferred
  • Motivated to develop engineering leaders and evolve the engineering profession
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of professionals
  • Committed to providing exceptional client service and technical excellence
  • Experience with multiple design software
  • Strong verbal, written and communication skills
  • Looking for long-term growth

Duties and Responsibilities:-

  • Lead structural design projects
  • Train, coach or mentor members of the project team
  • Coordinate and communicate with Architects/Designers, Truss Manufacturers, MEP Trades, General Contractors and Field Project Managers
  • Perform structural analysis of wood frame and masonry building components including foundations, wall and roof structures, evaluating loading cases
  • Support in the development of construction drawings and specifications
  • Attend meetings with coordinating parties to resolve structural complexities
  • Manage project schedules

Position type/Expected Hours of work:-

Salaried full-time employee. Able to work independently. Must be able to work normal hours of Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, but also be willing to work overtime when necessary.

Travel:-

Travel may include day trips to construction job sites to gather data and consult with builders, architects, and field personnel.

Architect

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architect to join our team and lead the design and planning of residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong creative and technical skills, a solid understanding of building codes and construction practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors. Team members demonstrate our core values of Ownership, Passion, Honesty, and Respect.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the conceptual and schematic design process, translating client needs into functional, aesthetic, and code-compliant design solutions.
  • Develop and produce architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
  • Coordinate with structural, MEP, and civil engineers throughout design and documentation phases.
  • Manage projects through all phases including feasibility studies, design development, permitting, and construction administration.
  • Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, zoning regulations, ADA standards, and sustainability guidelines.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction is aligned with design intent and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to present ideas, obtain feedback, and manage expectations.
  • Research materials, systems, and construction methods to support design innovation and performance.
  • Prepare and review architectural documents for accuracy, quality, and constructability.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Develop a working knowledge of company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.

Miscellaneous / Additional

  • Maintain a high level of discretion/confidentiality in all matters
  • Provide training to other employees on AutoCAD, Revit and other CAD software
  • Train other employees in architectural design and building code requirements

Required Skills

  • Excellent design, visualization, and graphic presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience in Revit. Proficiency preferred.
  • Familiarity with Construction and/or Engineering.
  • Broad knowledge of residential design and construction.
  • Broad knowledge of BIM Software.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction detailing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Education and Experience

  • Florida licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure or eligible for reciprocity
  • 6+ years of experience in architectural design and project delivery
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program

Travel

  • Travel may include day trips to construction jobsites to gather data and consult with builders, architects, and field personnel.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

  • Time is spent primarily sitting/standing in a climate-controlled office environment or shared office space.
  • Time is spent looking at a computer screen, keyboarding and using a mouse.
  • Must make sure work aids are used that reduce eye strain, back trouble and carpal tunnel syndrome.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and see. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
