Qualifications:-
- 4 -8 years’ experience related to structural/residential engineering work
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain within 6 months preferred
- Motivated to develop engineering leaders and evolve the engineering profession
- Knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI
- Ability to communicate with all levels of professionals
- Committed to providing exceptional client service and technical excellence
- Experience with multiple design software
- Strong verbal, written and communication skills
- Looking for long-term growth
Duties and Responsibilities:-
- Lead structural design projects
- Train, coach or mentor members of the project team
- Coordinate and communicate with Architects/Designers, Truss Manufacturers, MEP Trades, General Contractors and Field Project Managers
- Perform structural analysis of wood frame and masonry building components including foundations, wall and roof structures, evaluating loading cases
- Support in the development of construction drawings and specifications
- Attend meetings with coordinating parties to resolve structural complexities
- Manage project schedules
Position type/Expected Hours of work:-
Salaried full-time employee. Able to work independently. Must be able to work normal hours of Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, but also be willing to work overtime when necessary.
Travel:-
Travel may include day trips to construction job sites to gather data and consult with builders, architects, and field personnel.
